WAF's Grant Funding Opportunity
he West Anniston Foundation is currently seeking to fund grant applications addressing the most pressing health needs of the West Anniston community through innovative health education and/or health service projects. With the increased competition for grant dollars and the need to better assess the impact of the West Anniston Foundation’s investment, a successful grant request must include an effective mechanism for measuring the program outcomes.
 
The West Anniston Foundation considers proposals only from:
Nonprofit organizations that provide services that directly or indirectly affect the residents of the West Anniston community.
Have tax-exempt status under the Section 501 (c) (3) of the IRS code or described as an appropriate beneficiary for a community foundation under the IRS Code.
 
During the current grant cycle, requests are limited to a maximum of $5,000 per year. The pool of financial resources for this grant cycle is $25,000. To initiate the grant process, click on the Grant Guidelines link and carefully review grant qualifications and follow the instructions for submitting a proposal.
The West Anniston Foundation funds a wide variety of innovative projects. In order to make the greatest impact with the funds available, proposed projects:
 
Must address a critical community need or opportunity
Must not duplicate existing services
Must serve as pilot projects that, if successful, can be duplicated by other organizations
Must involve collaboration and cooperation with other organizations or agencies. This collaboration and cooperation must be evidenced by Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) submitted with the proposal.
Must include an effective mechanism for measuring outcomes and the impact of WAF’s investment.
 
Funding decisions are made and no later than sixty days from the May 2nd submittal deadline, you will receive notification of your proposal’s status.
